W 11th & Crow Rd. Utility Extension

Week of August 31st, crews will be sawcutting sections of Crow Rd in preparation to start construction of a wastewater manhole and mainline pipes. The excavation work will start on Wednesday. The work will start at the intersection of Crow Rd and Hwy 126 (W 11th). The crews will work west on Crow Rd. The pipe mainline is close to 30 ft deep, so the work is dangerous and slower than normal. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Due to the complexity of the work, Crow Rd will be closed east of La Porte to Hwy 126. Access to La Porte remains open but must be accessed via Greenhill Rd.

River Rd Paving from Randy Pape Beltline to Green Ln

Due to the high traffic volumes on River Road, most construction activities will occur between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM. No lane closures will occur outside of this nighttime work window.
For the week of August 31st, crews will be working on construction of new pedestrian ramps at Santa Clara Ave & River Road and Division Ave & River Road. Pedestrian detours will be in place at all closures to ensure safe crossings. Crews will also be working on the bus lanes near Santa Clara Ave. During this time, a single lane of traffic will be closed north of Santa Clara Avenue during the day while the curb and gutter cure. Traffic will remain open in both directions using a single lane. No additional work requiring lane closures is expected outside of this nighttime work window.

Old Coburg Rd Stormwater Retrofit Project

McLean Blvd. Paving

On Saturday, August 29th, the contractor is scheduled to finish paving the east half of the roadway. On Tuesday and Wednesday, September 1st and 2nd, the contractor will be adjusting manholes in the roadway. Once this work is complete, the contractor will remove the detours.
The two current detours will be in effect during paving. The first will reroute approaching through traffic before Graham Dr to Lasater → Randy → 29th, returning to McKendrick St and McLean Blvd, and vice versa. The second will detour Graham Dr to Chambers St via 28th St.

Maxwell Rd & Prairie Rd Improvements

For the week of 8/31/26, construction crews will be onsite with the railroad contractor replacing the railroad crossing on Prairie at Hwy 99. Prairie Road will be closed to all traffic from Hwy 99 to Maxwell Rd. The closure is anticipated to last approximately 4 weeks. Currently, Prairie Rd is single lane in each direction from Hwy 99 to Maxwell Rd.
Prairie Rd will be CLOSED from Hwy 99 to Maxwell Rd from August 17th to approximately September 18th, 2026.
