June through July, County crews will be applying crack seal to roads in the Hayden Bridge area. During this time residents will see “No Parking” signs posted in areas where the crews will be working.
Beginning in July and running through October 1st, a contractor will be applying slurry seal to the same roads. During this time, residents will be notified via door hanger and “No Parking” signs at least 2 days prior to road closures. Tunnel construction at Brookside Estates
Construction - Moderate Impact
- Comments
- Tunneling during daytime work hours with one shaft at Brookside Apartments and another in Merry Lane. Work is expected to resume following PGE powerline work nearby. This involves heavy pounding to set shoring to protect workers. Shoring and digging 20-40-foot-deep shafts will take approximately a month. Setting shoring will take approximately two weeks of intermittent pounding, then tunneling underground between shafts will be ongoing for approximately four months. This will consist of mostly daytime activities such as dump trucks hauling away dirt, flatbed trucks delivering pipe and tunnel supplies, and a crane to lower and lift materials and supplies into the tunnel shaft.
