NOTE: Starting 1/29/2024 there will be a FULL CLOSURE of Foothill Road between Cedar Links Drive and the Westbound McAndrews Road ramp connection. Use alternate routes. Local traffic should enter from the Cedar Links Drive end.

Use caution throughout this project corridor, drive slowly in active construction areas and watch for road workers. Any full closures will have advanced reader boards in place and detour routes will be signed. Elsewhere, expect intermittent work with delays up to 20 minutes at times.

This project is a major improvement of both County and City of Medford sections of this roadway. More project information can be found at the Foothill Project Page.

Semi-truck traffic NOT advised during winter storms. Steep inclines, sharp switchback turns and limited turnarounds make this section of roadway extremely difficult to navigate during inclement weather. Semi-truck traffic STRONGLY NOT ADVISED to use this road as an alternate route when other routes close due to winter weather. USE ALTERNATE ROUTES. Chains REQUIRED when conditions are adverse.

Additionally, there is LIMITED WINTER MAINTENANCE AFTER DARK on this roadway. Motorists should use caution during active storms as conditions can change rapidly.
