Starting Monday, July 22, 2019, the South Bank Path will be closed for the construction of the Downtown Riverfront Park. The closure is expected to last until spring 2021. The Frohnmayer and DeFazio bridges will remain open throughout the construction project.


People are urged to detour through Alton Baker Park. There will also be a detour through downtown.

The work zone on 84th Avenue will be completely closed to all traffic, but local traffic and emergency vehicles will be able to access the driveways and the sidewalks will remain open. 16305 NW Rock Creek Road

A culvert that carries a creek below NW Rock Creek Road has failed, backing up water on the uphill side of the road. An emergency pumping system is in place, which requires the road to be closed. In early February a construction project will be required lasting several months to replace the failed culvert, which is more than 30 feet below the road. The road is expected to reopen this spring.
