The Steens Mountain Loop Road is now closed for the winter season. Visitors can access Page Springs Campground year-round. You can access the snowline past the locked gate with a permit and key from the BLM's Burns District Office.

Steens Mountain South Loop Road CLOSED at Black Canyon gate for the winter season. The Black Canyon gate is approximately 4 miles from Highway 205 S/Catlow Valley Highway.

If conditions allow, the earliest this portion of the Loop Road will open is May 15, 2026.

The upper Steens Mountain Loop Road, from Jackman Park Campground to Big Indian Gorge Overlook, is closed for the winter season.

East Langell Valley Road will be reduced to one lane, then fully closed at the construction site as crews remove and replace the East Langell Valley Road over the Lost River bridge near Bunn Way.  

This section of road is not a through street. Delivery trucks should not enter, as it will be difficult to turn around.

Starting January 28, 2026, Lane County will be installing signs and guardrails on Row River Rd from M.P. 2.71 to M.P. 19.10. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers, Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm. Please obey the temporary traffic control signs, use caution and slow down through work zones to improve safety and efficiency. Construction work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.

Traffic will be controlled by flaggers, Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm. The bridge on North Beaver Creek Road at MP 5.6 near Walkau Road is restricted to one-lane traffic only and is weight restricted. Truck traffic is discouraged and over-dimensional loads are prohibited.

Marion County Road Operations will be closing the portion of Bunker Hill Rd S between Riverside Dr S and Bates Rd S for road surface stabilization. The work will be completed in two phases: one addressing the north half of the closure area and the other addressing the south half. The closure will begin Monday, April 27th, 2026, at 7:00 am and end Monday, May 4th, 2026, at 7:00 am. Local traffic and emergency services will be permitted through the closure. There will be a period where the entirety of the surface of the road will be tilled. During this time, Road Operations personnel will use a grader and roller to create a temporary drivable surface to facilitate ingress and egress of local traffic and emergency service vehicles as needed.  

Farline Bridge has opened the road, but still has some work to do to complete the bridge replacement project. Work is expected to be sporadic from now through July, but no additional closure will be required.

Beginning Saturday April 18, the northbound lane of NE Interstate Ave between NE Oregon St and NE Wheeler Ave will be closed to vehicles for work on foundations for a new I-5 sign structure. The closure will continue 24/7 until Friday, May 8. 

NE Lloyd Blvd is closed for I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project construction. Crews are performing I-5 repairs, foundation work, and seismic resiliency upgrades.

Closure Mon-Sat 7am-6pm on Lusted Road with one-way eastbound-only traffic outside work hours. Through traffic will be detoured to Altman Road or Hosner Road.
