Starting Monday, July 22, 2019, the South Bank Path will be closed for the construction of the Downtown Riverfront Park. The closure is expected to last until spring 2021. The Frohnmayer and DeFazio bridges will remain open throughout the construction project.

SW Helmholtz Way will be closed at the intersection of SW Canal Blvd to allow for construction of Stage 3 of the SW Canal Blvd/SW Helmholtz Way Intersection Improvement project. Detour routes will be provided via SW Elkhorn Ave, SW Harvest Ave, SW 58th St and SW McVey Ave. The closure is anticipated to last until 6:00 PM on Monday, April 20.

SW Canal Blvd has been temporarily realigned to allow for 2-way traffic during Stage 3 construction and posted speeds have been reduced to 35 MPH through the work zone.

Road users should use caution and anticipate single lane closures and delays in the project area during construction.

East Larch Mountain Road, near Milepost 10

16305 NW Rock Creek Road

A culvert that carries a creek below NW Rock Creek Road has failed, backing up water on the uphill side of the road. An emergency pumping system is in place, which requires the road to be closed. In early February a construction project will be required lasting several months to replace the failed culvert, which is more than 30 feet below the road. The road is expected to reopen this spring.
