Estimated delay under 20 minutes; Construction Work
Comments: Day & nighttime single lane closures on Baseline and Oak Streets as well as on 10th Ave Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Project Description: ODOT and the City of Hillsboro are partnering on a paving and utility improvement project on Oregon Highway 8 – Tualatin Valley (TV) Highway/Baseline Street – between Southwest Minter Bridge Road and Southwest 331st Avenue. Work on TV Highway involves grinding, reconstructing, paving, and restriping; significantly upgrading the City’s water and storm water systems; improving more than 100 ADA ramps (accessible curb ramps); and repairing and paving the Dairy Creek Bridge. Traffic Impacts: Travelers should expect daytime and nighttime single lane closures on Baseline Street and Oak Street (from Dennis Avenue to 10th Avenue), as well as on 10th Avenue Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Crews will be completing manhole work, replacing traffic loop detectors on 10th Avenue, and installing striping on all of Oak Street, Baseline Street and 10th Avenue where paving is finished. TriMet service on Baseline Street will be intermittently affected during this reconstruction work. Temporary bus stop closures will be communicated on www.TriMet.org and at the bus stops. Driveways into and out of businesses and residences on Baseline Street will have access during the lane closures. There may be delays getting into/out of driveways if the contractor is actively working in front of the driveway. The contractor will be placing “business open” signs at the driveway entrances so customers know to patronize businesses. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns/trouble with accessing your business or residence during this work. For more information: www.tvhwypaving.org
