Comments: : I-84 reduced to one lane in each direction from Monday at 5 a.m. to Friday at noon for center barrier replacement; expect up to 20 minute delays. Project Description: This project will replace 12-miles of center concrete barriers on I-84 from Cascade Locks (milepost 50) to Hood River (milepost 60) between July and November 2015, before paving in summer 2016. The project will result in a smoother ride, increased safety and extend the life of the highway. Traffic Impacts: Travelers should expect I-84 to be reduced to one lane in each direction (west and eastbound) as crews replace the center barrier from around milepost 55 to milepost 65 (east of Cascade Locks); travelers can expect up to 20 minute delays. The left lanes (fast lanes) will be closed starting on Monday, August 17 at 5 a.m. then reopening on Friday, August 21 at noon with a temporary barrier in place to protect work crews. Motorists should exercise caution in the project workzone, as construction vehicles may be entering and exiting travel lanes. Work will be put on hold until the middle of September to reduce traffic delays associated with Labor Day.

Comments: I-84 will be back to its original configurations of two lanes in the East and West bound directions for holiday weekend traffic. After the holiday weekend, contractors will be closing the westbound lanes of I-84 for construction and shifting traffic onto the eastbound lanes in a single lane configuration I-84 will be reduced to a single lane in the East and westbound direction from MP 83.75 to MP 88.0.The traffic switch will be in effect from September 8th to November 24th. Traffic can expect minimal delays. Speeds have been reduced to 50mph on I84 through the work zone for the entirety of the project.

Comments: During the week of August 30th – September 5th the contractor will not be working on the project. Traffic can expect no delays. Oregon Mainline Paving will be replacing the top 2” of pavement in both the slow and fast lanes on Interstate 84. They will also replace the shoulder rumble strips, along with substandard median barrier with new barrier that meets today’s requirements for crash worthiness. The barrier replacement will take place during the day, while the paving operation and other project related activities will happen at night.

Comments: Blasting work Monday and Thursday with one hour closure on US 26 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.; expect 20-minute delays during daylight Monday to Thursday. Project Description: Construction of safety improvements to prevent severe and fatal crashes on U.S. 26 from east of Kiwanis Camp Road to east of the Mirror Lake Curves and preserve the highway to Oregon Highway 35 is underway on Mt. Hood. Work on the nearly eight mile stretch of U.S. 26 includes:Traffic Impacts: K&E Excavating will work Monday through Friday from sunrise to sunset. This week's work requires flagging throughout the three-mile project area from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Hauling will also continue along Lolo Pass Road and Trillium Lake Road. Details include: U.S. 26 • Monday through Thursday during daylight hours, travelers will encounter traffic stops controlled by flaggers, with lane and shoulder closures from sunrise to sunset throughout the three-mile project area. Travelers should plan for 20-minute delays any time the contractor is working. Periodic flagging could also occur on Friday. • One lane will remain open in each direction for a nearly three-mile stretch of U.S. 26 from east of Kiwanis Camp Road to east of the Mirror Lake Curves. This lane closure will remain in place around-the-clock until October 31. • Blasting will resume after Labor Day and will require closures on U.S. 26 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. On Thursday, August 13, K&E Excavating finished blasting on the slopes east of the runaway truck ramp. Lolo Pass Road • Periodic hauling will continue along Lolo Pass Road and take place Monday through Friday from sunrise to sunset. People in the area should use caution and expect truck traffic. Trillium Lake Road, Road 31, and Laurel Hill Trail • Hauling will continue along Trillium Lake Road and take place Monday through Thursday from sunrise to sunset and Friday until noon. • Road 31 will be closed to all traffic around-the-clock Monday through Friday. • Laurel Hill Trail will be closed as crews work on nearby slopes. Comments: During the week of September 6th – 12th the contractor will be reducing US97 to a single lane at MP 28.5 to 30.5 of U.S.97. The contractor will be grinding out the old roadway surface and replacing it with 3.5” of new pavement. Also they will be performing short single lane closures between MP 43.5 to 45.5 to install drainage pipe under the roadway. All work can be expected during the hours of 5am to 11pm, flagging and pilot cars will be utilized to facilitate a lane closures. Traffic can expect 10 to15 minute delays Sunday 7pm through Friday 3pm.
