Nighttime lane and ramp closures are required during the duration of the project.
Daytime work during the week of Monday, Feb. 8, through Friday, Feb. 12, includes electrical conduit installation, lighting and sign work. This work will require left and right shoulder closures in both directions on I-405 and the on- and off-ramps to I-405.

ORE217, 1 mile South of US 26 Incident #:68093 | Estimated delay under 20 minutes Construction Work Lanes Affected: (Northbound) Median , All Lanes , Shoulder (Southbound) Median , All Lanes , Shoulder Comments: Daytime work is planned this week in the OR 217 work zone. A contractor is working on a project to add a third through-lane to Highway 217 northbound between Oregon Highway 8 (Tualatin-Valley Highway) and U.S. 26 (Sunset Highway). This project also includes building retaining walls and improving drainage on the highway, lengthening the Wilshire St. overpass, and paving and striping the project area and the Highway 217/U.S. 26 interchange ramps. Lane closures on Highway 217 will only take place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
Currently, only one lane connects Highway 217 northbound to U.S. 26 eastbound. Motorists must use the right lane to travel to U.S. 26 eastbound. Motorists traveling in the center lane of Highway 217 northbound will not be able to access U.S. 26 eastbound. The center lane of Highway 217 northbound will now only continue north to Barnes Road and will not connect to U.S. 26 eastbound. These new lane configurations will be in place for the duration of the project.
During the week of Monday, Feb. 8, through Friday, Feb. 12, the contractor will work on installing new drainage and constructing the retaining wall near the new Wilshire Street and Walker Road overpasses and the Wilshire Street off-ramp and continuing to build the retaining wall on Highway 217 north of the Walker Road on-ramp. This work will take place behind a temporary barrier during daytime work hours from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The contractor is constructing a concrete retaining wall along the eastern edge of Highway 217. Between Feb. 1 and April 30, the contractor will access to the construction area from the northern edge of Ridgewood View Park. A staging area also will be placed next to the park access area. The construction access and staging areas will be fenced off to the public. During the work, a portion of the path around the northern part of the park will be closed to public use. The swing set area will remain open. Construction vehicles will enter Ridgewood View Park throughout the three-month construction period via S.W. Wilshire Street, 98th Avenue and
Ardenwood Street. Upon completion, Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District will make improvements to Ridgewood View Park. Monday, Feb. 8 and Tuesday, Feb. 9, the contractor will move equipment into the park between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. This work will require setting up a detour on the surface streets between the Wilshire Street Bridge and the Park.
The contractor is also continuing work to lengthen the Wilshire Street overpass. During the week, the contractor will work on the north end of the overpass; during the work, one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction. Please be aware that work zone speed limits are enforced by enhanced police traffic patrols in the area. Fines will double in this construction zone.

ORE99E, Portland Incident #:33312 | Estimated delay under 20 minutes Construction Work Comments: Be aware of Highway 99E northbound and southbound traffic shifts. Expect closures of S.E. Division St. Work is under way on a project to replace the Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Grand Avenue viaducts on Highway 99E. Lane closures on Highway 99E will only take place during nighttime hours. Daytime work hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 8, to Friday, Feb. 12.
Traffic on the Highway 99E northbound viaduct has been shifted to a temporary structure. Northbound traffic is shifted to the west to allow the contractor to begin building the new northbound viaduct. Motorists are cautioned to slow down when traveling through the new alignment.
There will be intermittent closures of both lanes on Division St. under the viaduct. Flaggers and detour signs will assist motorists during the intermittent closures.
The contractor has closed access at Division Place to the on- and off-ramp to southbound Highway 99E. However, the on- and off-ramp to Highway 99E south will remain open during the closure via a detour to S.E. 4th Avenue. This detour will be in effect until further notice.
During the week, column and footing construction work will require the closure of Caruthers Street under the viaducts. Bikes and motor traffic will be detoured around the construction work during the Caruthers Street closure. Division Street will have intermittent single lane closures to allow material deliveries and construction work. Woodward Street will have intermittent lane closures between Highway 99E and S.E. 7th Avenue. Division Place also will have intermittent lane closures for bridge work. Flaggers will control traffic during these closures.
The contractor has closed the ramp connecting westbound Division Street to northbound Highway 99E (Grand Avenue). This ramp is scheduled to be closed into 2010 to allow crews to remove the existing northbound viaduct and build a new structure.
During the ramp closure, motorists will be directed to take Division Street to northbound 7th Avenue to westbound Clay Street to northbound Highway 99E (Grand Avenue).
Please be alert to enhanced police traffic patrols in the project area.
